About
Joshua Hollister’s path began in the Jazz Department at Manhattan School of Music where he studied with singer/songwriter Peter Eldridge. He then broadened his musicianship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music receiving a Bachelor of Music with Honors in Opera Performance under the tutelage of Leroy Kromm. This diverse training has led Joshua to perform a wide range of roles in the fields of Opera, Musical Theatre, Oratorio, and Stage throughout North America and Europe.
His credits include the roles of Billy in “Anything Goes” (Center Repertory Theater), Bernard in “Boeing Boeing” (San Jose Stage Company), Emile in “South Pacific” (Pacific Coast Repertory), Christus in “St. Matthew’s Passion” (San Jose Symphonic Choir), Joey in “The Most Happy Fella” (Festival Opera), Soloist for “Berntein’s Mass” conducted by Marin Alsop (The Cabrillo Music Festival). Dandini in “La Cenerentola,” & Guigliemo in “Cosi Fan Tutte” (San Francisco Lyric Opera), Frank Butler in “Annie Get Your Gun,” Gaston in “Beauty and the Beast,” Claudio in “Much Ado About Nothing,” & Valentine in “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” (Marin Shakespeare Company).
Most recently Joshua Hollister was seen as Steve in “August: Osage County” (San Jose Stage Company).
